Trademark registration procedure in Grenada:

The Trade Marks Ordinance provides only for registration of trademarks previously registered in the U.K., with extension of identical rights in Grenada. No purely local trademark applications can be filed in Grenada. An action in Grenada for infringement of a U.K registered trademark can only complain of infringement occurring after the date of registration in Grenada. An International registration which designates the U.K. can also be used as the basis for an application.
The registration procedure lasts 4 months. Service trademarks may be registered in Grenada but only via an application to extend a U.K registered mark, as above. It is not necessary to file the application in the same classes of UK certificate.

Trademark renewal in Grenada: The application for trademark renewal must be filed with a certified copy of UK renewal certificate and can be filed within 2 months and will be renewed for the same period. A grace of period of 6 months is given. The renewal certificate will be issued in 4 months.
