EUROPEAN COMMUNITY TRADEMARK - CTM

The European Trademark, also known as the Community Trademark, OHIM Trademark, CTM, EU Trademark, grants trademark protection in all the countries that are members of the European Union, by filing a single trademark registration request, at lower fees in comparison to separate trademark registration filing on national level. 

The European Trademark registration
refers to obtaining trademark protection in all European Union by filing a single trademark registration request and obtaining 1 final registration, identical in all the EU countries: Austria, Bulgaria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom.

OTHER SERVICES:

1. As a CTM - Community trademark procedure is based on the "principle of unicity", where if in one of the EU countries there is an earlier similar or identical trademark in a certain class, all the CTM will be rejected in that class, sometimes it is useful to transform the CTM trademark registration into national trademarks in EU countries, by filing a CTM Conversion request with OHIM. We offer CTM conversion services both in front of OHIM and on national levels.
