Trademark registration requirements in Barbados:
- Power of attorney simply signed – in black ink only.- Design of the trademark in JPEG format in case of a graphical trademark (not required for word mark).
- The detaliation of goods and/or services for witch the trademark will be registered or the classes in case they are known.
- Details of the trademark owner (name, address, registration number).
- Invoicing details (name, address, fiscal number, registration number).
- Information related to the previously filed trademarks, in order to benefit of the priority date, if it is the case.

Trademark registration in Barbados: The trademark registration procedure lasts 12 months. The opposition period is 90 days from publication in the Official Gazette.Other trademark procedures in Barbados:
Trademark renewal in Barbados: The trademark renewal may be done within the 12 months before expiry. For the renewal we need a simply signed power of attorney and a statement indicating the use of mark during the preceding year. The renewal is done for a period of 10 years.
Trademark changes in Barbados: For changing the name or the address we need an official document certifying change of name.
Trademark assignments in Barbados: For the assignment we need a simply signed power of attorney – in black ink only, a certified copy of the Assignment. The deed of assignment should state a minimum value, for example US$, in order to avoid other formalities. There is no stipulated time limit by Law and the record of the Assignment can take place without any penalty even if the assignment occurred several years ago.
There are no taxes or stamp duty payable. The assignment may be done with or without Goodwill. Pending application may be assigned
