International legislation
Lebanon is membership of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) treaties as part of:
- WIPO Convention since December 30, 1986;
- Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property of March 20, 1883;
- Nice Agreement Concerning the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks of June 15, 1957.
As member of World Trade Organization (WTO), Lebanon is on the List of Observer governments to be part of Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS Agreement - 1994).
