Kuwait is membership of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) treaties as part of WIPO Convention since July 14, 1998;
 
As member of World Trade Organization (WTO), Kuwait is part of Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS Agreement) (1994) since 1 January 1995.
