International legislation
Finland is membership of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) treaties as part of:
- WIPO Convention since September 8, 1970;
- Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property of March 20, 1883;
- Protocol Relating to the Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks, adopted at Madrid on June 27, 1989;
- Nice Agreement Concerning the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks of June 15, 1957.
As member of World Trade Organization (WTO) Finland is part of Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS Agreement) (1994) since 1 January 1995.
Finland is also on the List of member Countries of OHIM Regulations and International Treaties.
