Law concerning Marks, Trade Names and Acts of Unfair Competition of the Kingdom of Cambodia by the National Assembly on February 7, 2002 - The Trademark Law (16 chapters & 72 articles) ensures Intellectual Property Right Enforcement mechanism which follows the principles of TRIPS. Civil IP Rights Enforcement and Criminal IP Rights Enforcement can be conducted based on the provisions of Trademark Law, one of the three principal IP Laws- Trademark law, Patent law and Copyright law.
International legislation
Cambodia is membership of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) treaties as part of WIPO Convention since July 25, 1995;
As member of World Trade Organization (WTO), Cambodia is part of Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS Agreement) (1994) since 13 October 2004.
