Belgium is membership of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) treaties as part of:
- WIPO Convention since January 31, 1975;
- Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property of March 20, 1883;
- Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks of April 14, 1891;
- Protocol Relating to the Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks, adopted at Madrid on June 27, 1989;
- Trademark Law Treaty adopted at Geneva on October 27, 1994;
- Nice Agreement Concerning the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks of June 15, 1957.
Belgium is also member of World Trade Organization (WTO) as part of Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS Agreement) (1994) since 1 January 1995.
Belgium is on the List of member Countries on OHIM Regulations and International Treaties and member state of Benelux Convention concerning Intellectual Property.
