Austria is membership of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) treaties as part of:
- WIPO Convention since August 11, 1973;
- Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property;
- Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks of April 14, 1891;
- Protocol Relating to the Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks, adopted at Madrid on June 27, 1989;
- Nice Agreement Concerning the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks;
- Vienna Agreement Establishing an International Classification of the Figurative Elements of Marks, adopted at Vienna on June 12, 1973.
Austria is also member of World Trade Organization (WTO) since 1 January 1995 and in on the List of member Countries of OHIM Regulations and International Treaties.
