International legislation
Albania is membership of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) treaties as parf of:
- WIPO Convention since June 30, 1992;
- Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property;
- Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks;
- Protocol Relating to the Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks, adopted at Madrid on June 27, 1989;
- Nice Agreement Concerning the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks.
Albania is also member of World Trade Organization (WTO) as part of Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS Agreement) (1994) since 8 September 2000.
